Position Description
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES: As the initial point of contact and representative of the school, the person in this position must provide outstanding customer service to our Govie community, parents, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be able to handle answering a multi-line phone, greet guests such as parents, students, faculty, and delivery drivers (occasionally). Check-in visitors by use of the Easy Lobby System.
In this position, you will support Human Resources, Finance, Admissions, and Outreach by completing administrative tasks which include but are not limited to, typing and filing paperwork, completing small projects, and data entry in PowerSchool, update the master contact list and distribute. Accept deliveries in the absence of the HR Administrative Assistant.
Skills and Requirements
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma and at least one-year of clerical or other relevant work experience
Preferred: Relevant experience working in a school setting and knowledge of the arts
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication, detailed-oriented, able to remain organized while handling paperwork. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to multi-task while greeting guests, and answering phone lines. Problem-solving skills to identify resources to address concerns of current and prospective students and parents, visitors, and other stakeholders. Ability to handle stressful situations on occasion. Customer service experience to include working with diverse audiences.
