Duties include: Trouble-shooting molding and related production machinery, diagnose malfunctions and repair of equipment, keep down-time to a minimum and optimize efficiency, perform preventive maintenance on equipment, maintain PM records, help supervisor with other duties as needed.
Skills and Requirements
Hands-on plastic injection maintenance technician Experience with Hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Able to diagnose, trouble-shoot, repair, and maintain plastic injection molding machines and other equipment, such as air compressors, chillers, and granulators. Stable work history, with at least 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in injection molding Problem solving and critical thinking Ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability to continuously use hands, arms and legs, and ability to move the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials. Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours, and to lift and maneuvering up to 50 lbs. repeatedly without physical restrictions Ability and willingness to follow directions and to work independently Good verbal communication skills and ability to keep record of materials worked Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
